Only fools would claim relationship between a husband and wife is easy. It took me more than a decade of marriage to figure out how her mind work. What I know now, is but the tip of the iceberg.
"For christ sake! Will you tune it down!"
It was the beginning of a new year. His wife was screaming like a banshee at their three daughters. He knows what it was all about. What all the tirade that are now being taken out on his daughters was really about.
"They're not helping. Look at all the soil dishes in the sink."
"Just get the girls to clean up."
"Why don't you speak to them about it yesterday evening?"
"You just need to be more firm with them."
"Like you?" asked his wife sarcastically, getting more vented up.
He knows where the argument was leading to. The real issue behind her tiresome innuendo was about to rear its cowardly face.
"If you need help with breakfast, just make the request. There's no need for you to take it out on the gals."
"I wasn't," his wife denied lamely.
"You were," he insisted, knowing her all too well. "Let's get breakfast going. It wouldn't do to start 2011 with a bad meal. Will only lead to a bad case of indigestion."
