It was a Monday. 8:36 Am. January 2nd. Beginning of my last year in school. Also my worst year of my life. I walked into my tutor room with my best friend Megan. We have been friends for over 5 years. Been a couple twice… Anyway, I sat down. Gleaming at the fact that I could see all my friends again. We noticed Lauren and Megan S walking in. (Megan S and Megan O are different people by the way.) We said hi and talked about what we did over the Christmas holidays. Lauren went to Rome with her boyfriend, Megan O and her boyfriend went to Ibiza, I went to North Carolina with my best friend Conor and Megan S stayed with her best friend Sarah. Our tutor walked in and sat down. Then called for our attention. Most of us swivelled round on our chairs to look at him. “There will be two new students joining our tutor.” “Oh great, more dicks.” I mumbled under my breath. Megan S just giggled. “The first is Zack from Toronto.” Zack… That name rang a bell. As well as the fact that he came from Toronto. He was a Christian and dressed like an Emo. I thought he was alright. I went over to him and made conversation with him. After about 4 minutes of casual talking, we strayed to the topic of gaming. Stupid I know, but the worst was to follow… I found out that he plays Ps3. I asked him if he had an online account. LeftyLaRose2007. Lefty. That name hit me like a bullet. My face lost colour. “Do you know me?” he asked curiously. “Y-Yeah. Cally. Remember him?” I slurred under surprise. “Oh God, Callum is that you!?” “Yeah man!” We hi-fived then our tutor called for our attention. “Ahh, here she is. And this is Catherine. “As Catherine walked into sight, I felt a cold dark shiver take over my body. It was my old girlfriend. We haven’t spoken in over 9 months. She glanced at me which made me go colder. Thankfully, the bell rang and I darted out of the room. I knew The Megans and Lauren will drill me for information later. But right now, I had to get out of there.

It was an incredibly slow day. I avoided Megan S as much as I could because she’s one of my Ex’s too. She got really annoyed at me for it but her revenge was near… Me, James, Conor, Zack and Rose sat on our favourite table in The Stella Diner and we just casually talked about things. Out the corner of my eye, I saw Catherine approach me. She was grinning like there was no tomorrow. I wasn’t sure what was going to happen. “Hi everybody! I’m Catherine.” She cheerfully said. The rest of my friends greeted her with a hello or a nod. She got closer to my ear and whispered something in my ear. “I don’t know your name but can I speak with you a second?” I looked at her. She grinned more than ever. “Umm, sure. Be right back guys.” We walked into a corridor and she pulled me close and whispered in my ear; “I want to get to know you more. You’re really hot. Can we meet up some time?” Throughout her telling me she don’t know my name and she wants to know me more, I gathered that she must not remember me or she don’t recognise me. I thought that the second option was most likely. I decided that I’d play along. “Alright. You got anyway of me contacting you?” She smirked. “Yeah, I’ll hand you my number, Facebook name and PSN in tutor.” PSN. That was another bullet. “You have PSN? I’ll add you ASAP!” She grinned again. “Okay, see you soon.” Trying to hide her enormous grin. She ran off and I walked back in The Stella Diner. “So you going on a date with her, Callum?” James shouted while laughing. “ If I was, I wouldn’t tell you.” I said laughing. I flicked my iPod on, clicked on my favourite Dubstep track; G7 by Torqux and Twist, and put it on full blast and drifted off into my own little world until Lunch was over.

It was the end of the day and Me and Conor grabbed our jackets and iPod’s from our lockers because England is freezing in January. We headed out the door, unlocked our mountain bikes and started to ride home. We got to the top of the school hill when we saw Megan S standing next to some hoodies. As we rode closer, Megan pointed at us and then about 6 hoodies spread into a formation. As I rode past one, he pushed me off my bike with some force. I landed on my arm but quickly recovered. As I stood up, 4 of the hoodies surrounded me. I looked behind me to see Conor was fighting the other 2 hoodies. “Great. Four against one.” But I had my iPod in at full blast. With perfect timing, G7 turned on. My adrenalin was now racing. I looked at the hardest hoodie with some rage. “Bring it.” One charged at me, I parried him and punched him straight in the throat. He just fell to the floor. One pulled a pocket knife out and clicked it. A 6 inch blade slipped out of the handle. One hoodie swung at the same time as the knife hoodie did. I grabbed his fist, jolted his arm and put his hand in front of the blades path. The knife when straight through his hand. The hoodie screamed in agony and fell to his knees grabbing his now stabbed hand. The knife hoodie was shocked because he just stabbed his friend so I took my chance to disarm him. Span his arm round until his grip over the knife was gone. I ripped the knife from his limp hand and rammed it into his thigh, then pushed him over so he couldn’t get back up. I span around and glared at the hardest hoodie and smirked. “Anymore?” I shouted at him. His face was filled with shock. He just ran away. I noticed about £50 sticking out of the knife hoodie’s pocket. I took it out and gave it to Megan. “Here. Merry Christmas.” I gave her a hug and walked back to my bike. I looked at Conor who was standing over two unconscious hoodies. He got back on his bike and so did I. Little did I know that the whole bus stop was watching us. (About 50 people) Amongst that crowd was Catherine. I gave her a nice smile, and rode back home. But this was just the start of things to come…
