Screams. Thats what she first heard when she woke up. So Amy got up and started slowly walking to the door. She wondered who could be screaming, after all she did live alone in a cabin next the lake, surrounded by wildlife for at least three miles. The scream was louder, a lot louder. Amy started walking faster, now more of a jog. Before she left she made sure to grab a flashlight and a coat because she lived in Alaska were its really dark.
Amy leaped out the door in the snow and followed the voice. Not that far into the woods, she glanced around. To her left she saw a woman screaming bloody murder and shaking in pain on the cold, wet ground. The woman had crazy, untidy hair that had little pieces of dirt collecting in there. She was wearing a white T-shirt and white pair of sweatpants that were whiter than snow and looked like glowing white. Her eyes surprise Amy the most her eyes were turquoise it was more clearer than the ocean. When their eyes locked their was a connection, like they were family or friends in their past lives. She tried to talk to the lady, but there was no response except more shrieking. The woman did not even move. Amy was freaking out, her heart was beating so loud that Amy felt like it was plugged in to speakers. So many questions running through her mind faster than a cheetah. The lady on the ground looked as thought she was pointing to something to the right of Amy.
Amy turned and looked to her right and under a little bush lie a newborn baby wrapped in a soft blue blanket. She ran over got the baby to see if she was O.K. and felt relief when she did not see anything wrong.
The woman suddenly just stopped screeching and froze in place. Amy pulled out her phone and started calling a ambulance. Less than three minutes later Amy heard the sirens from the ambulance and ran to her driveway with the baby to show them the "frozen" lady. Two muscular men from the ambulance got out a red stretchers and followed her.
Amy retraced her steps to where the she found the woman. There was nothing there except the moss covered ground with little mud puddles every few feet. But all of the sudden she realized she accidently took a wrong turn when she was lost in thought. She ran back through the right path and ended up where Amy was positive she found the woman there. When Amy got close to area where the shrieking woman and silent baby were found, one of the men asked what happened. Amy told her story.
"O.K. When we find her, we will need you to talk to the police and tell him what happened." The guy said this with doubt.
They reached the clearing and Amy looked with big, round eyes and a mouth agape so wide it almost reached her neck. Right where the woman should have been was a note. Reading:
